Education executive and learning coach Patrick Lanning from Oregon has been involved with the many facets of educational leadership at comprehensive community colleges such as Lane Community College and Chemeketa Community College. In his 25-year career, he has taken on student services and instructional positions such as part- and full-time faculty, faculty chair, director, dean, vice president, and chief academic officer.

As a Leadership and Team Coach, he communicates with his clients through face-to-face meetings, e-mails, and open forums while also serving on numerous panels in his region. He also gives presentations with various groups throughout the Pacific Northwest. To Dr. Patrick Lanning, being open to the thoughts and needs of others is key to conceptualizing situational improvements and solutions.

He had previously held leadership positions, such as Board Commissioner and President, at the Eugene Water & Electric Board (EWEB), Oregon’s largest customer-owned utility.
